Ayiwulu told the court during the interrogation by the lawyers of the respondents, namely Adebayo Adelodu, SAN, for Governor Abdullahi Sule, Ishaka Muddie Dikko, SAN, for INEC and Mathew Burkah, SAN for APC political party, that he was working as it Commonwealth of Nations. The INEC attorney also raised issues regarding the identity of some of the PDP representatives who appeared as witnesses for the plaintiffs, noting that they had not been properly certified for the exercise.
The defendant’s lawyer, Jibrin Samuel Okutepa SAN, had previously provided him with two documents belonging to Godwin Udong Idioh, the IT chief of the INEC Department of State, but the plaintiffs’ lawyer objected to receiving the documents. However, the PDP candidate David Umbugadu rejected the election result due to bad behavior on the part of the committee.
