Deputy National Woman Leader Of PDP Resigns

Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, as Deputy National Women’s Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), resigned.

Wanka informed the party’s national secretariat in Abuja in a letter of resignation she wrote to Ambassador Iliya Damagun, the party’s acting national chairman.

Wanka claims she left her post to work as a commissioner in the Bauchi state government under Bala Mohammed. The PDP leader expressed her sincere gratitude to Governor Mohammed for deserving to serve in his cabinet, as well as to the national leadership of the party for giving her the rare opportunity to serve at the national level. Wanka claimed that her expertise as a leader party female National MP would vastly improve her performance as a commissioner in Bauchi State, despite the fact that it is impossible to judge the experience.
