President Bola Tinubu will be addressed today to the Nigerians (Monday) at 19:00, said his spokesman, dele Alake.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media are excited to connect to the Nigerian television authority and the Nigeria Radio Network services for broadcasts,” said Alake.
The TV Change reports that, at the time of publication, the agenda of the transmission was unknown, but it is possible that it can face the economic difficulties that the Nigerians are currently addressed following the loss of subsidies for petrol subsidies.
After President Bola Tinubu declared the abolition of the essence subsidy in his inauguration speech on May 29, 2023, there did not seem to be a relief for the Nigerians.
The news brought the price of one liter to the N184 pump a N500. About two months later, Tuesday 18 July 2023, the price went from N500 to more than N617, angry and overwhelming many of those who found themselves unemployed.
The extraordinary fuel prices coincide with the Nairas float by the Tinubu administration, the increase in inflation rates, the rowing of transport costs and a leap in food inflation.
