Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf announced the appointment of his important administrative offices in the State.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sanusi Bature DawakinTofa, the new appointees will head some departments of the State government. The new appointees include; Hon. Kabiru Getso Haruna as General Secretary of, the Kano State Education Association; Professor Aliyu Isa Aliyu has been appointed as the Executive Director, of the Kano State Bureau of Statistics; Dr Kabiru Ado Zakirai as the Secretary General of the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSMB), and Hon. Alkasim Hussain Wudil, Coordinator, Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre.
The governor also approved the appointment of Farouq Abdu Sumaila as the Executive Secretary, of the Kano State Guidance and Counseling Council; Alh. Umar Shehu Minjibir, Chairman, Kano State Public Service Commission; CP Kabiru Muhammad Gwarzo (Rtd) as Executive Director, Kano State Industrial Security Agency, Gabasawa; Dr. Abdullahi Garba Ali, Kano Information Centre, Kura, and Hajia Shema’u Aliyu as the Head of Kano State Hospitality Authority.
Others are Dr. Musa Sa’ad Muhammad, Director, Kano State Sports Authority Karfi; Dr. Abubakar Shehu Minjibir, Kano State Press Development Agency; Abdullahi S. Abdulkadir, Kano State Agricultural Mechanization Institute, Kadawa; Jazuli Muhammad Bichi, Director Gargai of Kano State Animal Husbandry Institute; Dr Maigari Indabawa, Kano State Film Institute, Tiga, and Kabiru Yusuf, Director, Kano State Fisheries Institute, Bagauda.
The statement added that the appointments are effective immediately, requiring the newly appointed officials to take charge of their departments within the next 48 hours. This was stated in a statement sent to Vanguard by the Acting Head, Public Affairs, Head of Public Service, Mrs. Moyosola Adesina. Meanwhile, earlier, in a conversation with a shaman, not Vanguard o, the organization through the National Authority for West African Examinations Council, WAEC, Mr. Patrick Areghan noted that the qualification results of 1,621,853 candidates, were hitched-free even in the East where sit-at+home was enforced.
His words:” The council is working around the clock to try to beat the deadline. Sure enough, the results of the school examination will be made public next week. There was no problem in identifying 76 people. Even in the Southeast, being at home didn’t affect our identification. The workout went off without a hitch.”
“A total of 1,621,853 candidates from 20,851 secondary schools registered for the examination. The distribution showed 798,810 males, or 49.25 percent, and 823,043 females, or 50.75 percent.” Areghan explained.
